Clovis Judo Club 50th Anniversary On April 8, 2006, the Clovis Judo Club held its' 50th Anniversary Celebration Dinner. 174 past and present members attended the dinner and were treated to a kata demonstration by several of our students, and then entertained by the Taiko Drummers and Sumiko Imamura’s Traditional Japanese Dance Group. While the PG&E outage during one of the numbers by the Taiko Drummers was not part of the planned agenda, it did little to deter the festivities. After dinner, several of our senseis took us down memory lane with a brief history of our club from 1956 to the present. Below you will find some candid photos of the evening.
